History of South Asian Art - An Online Course



South Asian Arts brings you this interesting online course, which aims at making students familiar with the diverse forms of art that have developed over a period of thousands of years. The course is meant for the people who are not familiar with the art forms of South Asia, the enthusiastic amateurs, professionals who would like to acquire a preliminary knowledge of this subject and anyone interested in South Asian arts.

The course involves making you familiar with the development of various kinds of art forms in the region in a historical context through lessons provided in PDF files. The people interested in the course will be required to register for the course. Upon registration, the lessons will be sent in PDF files. The candidates will be able to read the lessons at their own convenience, to be completed within a span of 12 weeks.

During these 12 weeks, two long essay-type assignments will be submitted by the candidates and at the end of the term of 12 weeks, a set of questions will be sent to the candidate, which they will respond to in writing and will submit the responses. Upon completing the course, a statement confirming the grade and credit equivalence obtained by the candidate will be issued.

Please note that this is not a formal university-level course, hence no formal accreditation is given. But a statement mentioning the equivalence of grade and credit will be given to the candidate.
